Punta Gorda’s third annual Neighborhood Fall Festival is Saturday, October 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at Laishley Park, 100 Nesbit Street. The city and the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce present the free family event.

The published lineup includes free food, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, a dessert walk and live entertainment. A new nonprofit expo gives residents a chance to meet local organizations and learn how to get involved.

Community groups interested in the expo, or businesses asking about sponsorship, can contact FallFest@PuntaGordaFL.gov. Families can plan around the four-hour afternoon window rather than an evening Halloween outing. Check the city’s event notice before attending for any updates to the park gathering.
