GreenPointe Holdings announced on Oct. 1 that construction has begun on The Branch, a 2.5-acre amenity campus at Turnleaf. The Charlotte County community lies along Burnt Store Road, west of Interstate 75 and U.S. 41.

The plans include 5,500 square feet of club facilities and a 5,600-square-foot pool with lap lanes and a sundeck. A fitness center, pickleball and bocce courts, yoga lawn, walking and cycling paths, and playground are also planned, according to the developer.

The campus is reserved for Turnleaf residents and their guests. GreenPointe says members of the development team, including Curran Young Construction and South Florida Architecture, marked the start of work with a groundbreaking. The community's own website still lists the amenities as coming soon.

The broader community is planned for 1,735 homesites across 426 acres and is built within a Community Development District, according to GreenPointe.
